Sell Your Stuff The Modern Way
Back in the day, if you wanted to get rid of some unwanted things lying around your home, you were pretty much limited in your options. You could hold a garage sale or a yard sale. While this could be effective, more often than not, it would result in having to part with your stuff for less than you’d like (people go to those things expecting a dirt cheap bargain) or just having a poor attendance. So what happened next? You give stuff away to charity or maybe try to sell some of it at a local Hollywood pawn shop, and call it a day.
But with the internet, you have so many more options available to you. Sites like craigslist make it easy to list your stuff to a much wider audience. It’s like a garage sale, but over the internet, meaning that your stuff is always on display in a place where people are actively looking for things. Again, loads of bargain hunters here, but it is still a great option.
Then there are sites like eBay where you can take choice items, and try to get a bit more for them. Sure, there is a lot of competition, but if the stuff has been sitting in your house anyway, then may as well let it sit there a bit more with a better chance of a good remuneration. It is also easy to get paid and you have some security as these types of sites keep both the buyer and the seller relatively safe from scams.
So get modern with your sales tactics, and see just how much you can make from the “useless” stuff lying around your home. Many people have actually taken this concept to the next level and do this as a full time job! Not too shabby if you ask me.
